Benefits of IV Therapy

IV Therapy, commonly referred to as Intravenous Therapy, is the quickest way to deliver nutrients and hydration throughout the body for immediate absorption. Since it is being administered directly into the bloodstream, it bypasses the digestive system and goes into the organs. This instant absorption causes a 90-100% absorption rate compared to a 20-50% absorption rate when administered orally.

Why IV Therapy?

If you have experienced the following symptoms, you should look into seeking IV Therapy:

  • Digestive issues
  • Inflammation
  • Immunity
  • Hangovers
  • Cold and flu relief
  • Fatigue

You may benefit from IV Therapy if you have experienced these symptoms. Please remember to get the green light from your primary care physician before seeking any medical intervention.

IV Therapy Benefits

IV Therapy initially began as a treatment used in hospitals for patients who were dehydrated or were unable to take medications orally. Nowadays, generally healthy people also seek infusions to boost their energy and wellness levels. Many factors can compromise your immune system and overall well-being, one of those reasons being stress. IV Therapy can give you a pick-me-up boost to get you feeling energized and strong. Besides feeling energized, IV Therapy can restore your nutrient body level to its prime state, making it harder for you to become vulnerable to infections and illnesses. Some benefits of IV Therapy include:

  • Increased energy levels
  • Reduced migraines
  • Increased injury recovery time
  • Stabilized blood sugar
  • Enhanced complexion
  • Calmness
  • Improved hangover
  • Better mental focus
  • And so much more!

Two Types of IV Therapy

There are two types of IV Therapy; IV Drip and IV Push. Mainly, the difference between the two lies in the number of fluids administered and the duration of the treatment. Both treatments, however, allow for 90-100% of absorption.

  1. IV Drip: IV Drips are administered via a small plastic tube (catheter) inserted into the vein, allowing it to drip, hence the name. On average, IV Therapy uses 250-1000 ml of fluids per session, and a typical time range is 45-60 minutes.
  2. IV Push: Similarly to an IV Drip, an IV Push is also administered via a catheter. The allotted time and amount of fluids, however, are different. On average, there are 30-60 ml of fluids per session, and a typical time range is 30-60 minutes.

What Vitamins and Ingredients are Used?

Common vitamins and ingredients used in IV Therapy include; vitamins B and C, Calcium, Zinc, and Magnesium. Other elements such as; glutathione, antioxidants, and amino acids can be found in IV Therapy.

How Long Do the Effects Last?

Although many reports are consistent with feeling better immediately after treatment, IV therapy’s effects typically take 12-14 hours post-infusion to become entirely noticeable. The results usually last eight days to three weeks, depending on which IV Therapy you received and how long your session was.

Things to Consider Before Seeking Treatment

Although IV Therapy has many benefits, too much of a good thing can also be harmful. Strongly consider your medical history before seeking treatment. If you have a medical condition, ask your doctor if IV Therapy is the right choice. Your doctor will evaluate your medical record, medications, and allergies when deciding if it is a safe option for you. If your doctor has cleared you and recommends you get IV Therapy, don’t wait! Seek treatment as soon as possible.
